Update

My boss called me in today to tell me again to shape up my attitude and to be more professional. Say WHAT?!@# It is their word against mine, but there's four of them and only one of me, so he doesn't care what I have to say. It was easy for them to get their supervisor, my friend, fired. How much easier will it be for them to do the same to me?! The Eye sees only what they want him to see. Please pray for me to find another job somewhere else before it is too late. Guess this is why I never found an apartment in the area where I work!

What tangled webs we weave...people are strange. I can imagine your coworkers and boss, a cast of odd looking character actors like on "The Office". Get out while the getting is good.

YOU need to start looking for another job...pronto! Honestly, you can't work in a hostile environment. Leave on your terms, not on theirs! Good luck!

It sounds like "wolf pack" syndrome to me. Especially, when you have a bunch of females working together. The "alpha" always picks one in which to slam dunk and it amounts to trying to take their own shortcomings out of the radar (of the "Eye").

A good manager would see thru their antics, if he had a clue and would demand specifics and provide the when, what, how, who and where to you -- so you could provide input. It sounds so one-sided and not current with today's HR practices. If your boss had said something like that to me, I would demand specifics. I would also challenge him to have a group meeting so you could lay all the cards out on the table and tell them how YOU have been feeling too.

I would look for other employment and quick, but I would not go out quietly. At the very least, request an exit interview with the "EYE" and his boss and let them know how you feel. Write it down and read from it, if you have to do so - if you don't fare well in pressured situations. But let them know before you leave, so hopefully it will help the next victim to the Four Fussies.

I wish you the best in looking for a new job! Blessings!

Unblasted believeble. Except, sadly, I do know this happens, and that it is, as I know you well enough to believe you, of course I do believe you.

I just pray you can leave, on YOUR terms. I know you're focusing on the kids, which is awesome. But, WTF? And, yes, specifics, and asking him what specific things he suggests you do to "improve." :)

Not that you need it, but still shows you're trying. OY oy oy .

Oh dear, that is dreadful, Win. Know the feeling only too well. Hope it either gets resolved properly - or that you find a better job elsewhere.

I agree with Myra. If they have it in for you, it is only a matter of time before they get you. Sorry to sound so negative. However, I have seen this scenario played out over and over again. I am just concerned for your well-being. Office politics are horrible!! I realize that jobs are hard to find right now. Yet, how much have you suffered physically and emotionally becuase of these "people"? There comes a point when it is just not worth it!!
